filozof-3/gabriel marcel” 172″ 232″ Gabriel Honoré Marcel (Doğum: Paris, Fransa 7 Aralık 1889 – Ölüm: 8 Ekim 1973 Paris, Fransa) yılları arasında yaşamış bir filozof, oyun yazarı, edebiyat eleştirmeni ve Fransız müzisyen, Hıristiyan varoluşçuluğun temsilcisidir.

Gerçek olanı rasyonel olanla, yani özlerle ya da değerlerle özdeşleştirdiğine, şeyleri saf nesnelere dönüştürdüğüne inandığı ve varoluşu, çelişik olduğu gerekçesiyle, inkar ettiğine inandığı idealizme karşı çıkan Marcel, inancın önemini vurgulamış ve Heidegger gibi, insani tecrübenin ontolojik ağırlığını ortaya çıkarmaya çalışmıştır.

1926 yılında (NRF için) yazar, konuşmacı, oyun yazarı, edebiyat eleştirmeni ve müzik dallarında önde gelen faaliyetlerinden sorumlu Başkanı, daha sonra uluslararası edebiyat Crossfire Plön koleksiyon oluşturdu. Savaştan sonra uluslararası bir ün kazandı ve onur yağmuruna kariyeri sona erdi: 1952 yılında 1949 Ahlaki ve Siyasal Bilimler Akademisi Akademisi, Fransız üyesi Doktor Honoris Causa çeşitli üniversitelerin, Edebiyat Büyük Ödülü 1969 yılında ve 1958 yılında Erasmus Ödülü Grand Prix National des Lettres aldı.
